When I was in High School, I played the trumpet in the band and participated in Pep and Jazz Bands. Pep Band was the best! We got to go to all kinds of games, and among my favorite was playing at home football games.
Most of the time the weather was good, but there was more than one time that we had to keep our instruments warm in our coats. But the camaraderie and rooting for the home team was so worth it, even if we did lose.
I enjoyed entertaining the teams and spectators. How they love to hear the music play, especially the fight song.
