Since I started my business back in 2005, I had many goals to achieve. Guided walking tours and the expansion of them, a house museum for Havre, the revival of silver (fundraising) tea parties, cemetery tours, books, and more were part of the plan, along with several other projects, all with the preservation, restoration and rehabilitation of both of my historic homes in mind. Another of those goals is ready to start production-a DVD series of my tours, and more!
My first DVD will be of the historic Boone/Dalrymple/Mayer home-the first house museum in Havre. It had been my goal from the time I was 13 to have a house museum for Havre, and I achieved that goal by opening my private home to visitors. However, the stress of the project took its toll, and operations were moved to the historic Mathews home next door. Work will start this summer on the home, and tours have been temporarily suspended until such time when the home will be turned from an eyesore to eye candy. My DVD series will allow you to still visit these homes and learn about their history from the comforts of your home and at a time that is convenient for you. The series may also be offered on other venues such as YouTube, and I am researching those possibilities.
